Endodontic Materials for Root Canal Treatment
In this category, you will find a wide range of materials, instruments and accessories for endodontics and root canal treatment in the dental practice. If caries has progressed to the point where restorative treatment or filling therapy is no longer sufficient, or if the dental pulp is inflamed or non-vital, endodontic treatment may be required. The aim of endodontics is to preserve the natural tooth and maintain its function. Modern root canal treatment is performed under local anaesthesia and enables the long-term preservation of the affected tooth.
Paper Points for Endodontic Treatment
During root canal treatment, the root canal is mechanically prepared using specialised files, cleaned thoroughly, inflamed tissue is removed and the canal is rinsed with an antibacterial solution. This preparation should extend fully to the root tip to help eliminate infection and achieve reliable treatment results.
After preparation, paper points are used to dry the root canal or apply medication. These ISO paper points are highly absorbent and help remove blood, saliva and secretions from the root canal.

Root Filling Materials for Dental Practices
To complete an endodontic treatment, the prepared root canal is filled up to the apex. Gutta-percha is a proven material in dentistry thanks to its good biocompatibility and reliable sealing properties.
Gutta-percha points are available in various sizes and colour-coded versions. They can also be used for temporary sealing of cavities or implant screws.
The required gutta-percha is used together with a root filling material, such as Harvard MTA Universal OptiCaps, to fill the cleaned and dried root canal system. An X-ray image can then be used to check whether the filling reaches the apex and whether the tooth has been sealed completely.
If the inflammatory process around the root tip has progressed too far and the tooth cannot be preserved with conventional root canal treatment, an apicoectomy may be performed. During this procedure, the root tip and inflamed tissue are removed under local anaesthesia to support further treatment.
