Reduce Airborne Infection Transmission
Air is a major pathway for the spread of infectious diseases of all kinds. Speaking, coughing, and sneezing release droplets containing infectious agents into the air, which can infect others through direct contact with mucous membranes. This is especially important during the winter months, when the risk of respiratory illnesses is higher, and an air purification system can be particularly beneficial.
Such systems are equipped with special air filters (e.g., HEPA or activated carbon filters) capable of removing bacteria, gases, chemicals, and airborne particles such as dust or mite faeces from the air.
Air that has been purified from particles, pollutants, unpleasant odours, and germs carries significantly lower health risks and is also much more comfortable for allergy sufferers.
Air purifiers are suitable for all areas of healthcare, particularly waiting rooms, treatment rooms where patients with respiratory conditions are seen, and reception areas. They are also valuable in open-plan offices, nurseries, schools, and other public facilities.
Disinfect Large Areas Automatically
Surfaces are also a common pathway for germs—whether from falling droplets or through direct contact—making thorough surface disinfection essential. However, in treatment rooms containing electronic devices such as ultrasound machines or ECG equipment, thorough surface disinfection can be particularly challenging due to the variety of surfaces, including cables, power strips, drawers, cabinets, couches, and chairs.
One solution is the use of a diffusion device for dry mist disinfection. Devices such as the Nocospray 2 are loaded with specialised disinfectants and convert them into a dry mist, which settles evenly on every surface in the room.
Curtains, cables, skirting boards, or tables—all are disinfected uniformly. The biodegradable disinfectants leave no residue, and no follow-up treatment is required. After the procedure—which includes both misting and dwell time—the room can be used again without any restrictions.
Thanks to its broad spectrum of activity (including virucidal and sporicidal effects) combined with full material compatibility, this method is suitable for all areas of healthcare.
In a convenient overview within the Hygiene category, you will find disinfectants, paper products, and protective clothing that complement our air purifiers.
