Sterile Catheter Sets for Application of a Bladder Catheter

Our catheter sets contain sterile material for carrying out transurethral bladder catheterisation. Application or change of long-term catheters must be performed sterilely to prevent frequently occurring urinary tract infections or bladder infections when the tube of the urinary catheter is inserted into the urethra. The application of a bladder catheter is not only frequently used in urology for specific diagnostic issues, but also in patient care of all specialities in hospitals, nursing institutions such as nursing homes for the elderly as well as in home health care.

 

The urinary catheter set includes a user-friendly composition of sterile materials, such as a fenestrated drape, syringe, forceps, drainage bag, latex gloves, lubricating gel and glycerine for blocking, to ensure a sterile and clean, time-saving application. The content varies from set to set, depending on the requirements.

Catheter sets, such as the Peha catheter set in a thermoformed tray, are often supplied without a bladder catheter, allowing the user to choose the balloon catheter freely. The single-use set includes a drape, a fenestrated drape, two ES compresses, four Paga swabs, two forceps, and an outer tray for disposing of used materials.

 

The individual sets are long-term sterile and are available with different contents, offering a wide range of options. Depending on the set, it may include a kidney dish, drape, gloves, swabs, and lubricant.
