Cylindrical Cartridge Syringes in Various Designs
For local anaesthesia in dental medicine, cylindrical cartridge syringes are used. These injection syringes feature a metric thread for attaching the needle and a chamber to hold the cartridge containing the anaesthetic.
Syringes from reputable manufacturers such as Hager Werken and Passau Impex are made of stainless steel and can of course be disinfected and sterilised. They are available in various designs, with or without aspiration. An example of an aspiration syringe is the Miramatic® syringe from Hager Werken.
This aspiration syringe is available with a winged handle, single-ring handle, or three-ring handle. Additionally, the syringe surface is matt-finished to prevent unwanted reflections. To change the cartridge, the handle is pulled back and the cartridge can be removed.
A cylindrical cartridge syringe without aspiration capability is the cartridge syringe with winged handle. Due to the curved shape of the handle, it is suitable for infiltration anaesthesia in the upper jaw.
To remove or replace the cartridge, the standard syringe features a folding mechanism. The cartridge chamber fits all standard 1.8 ml cylindrical cartridges.
