Cotton Pellets for the Dentist

In dental practices, cotton pellets are used for a variety of applications. These soft pellets, made from materials such as cotton, are used to degrease crowns before their final placement, among other purposes.

Soft & Highly Absorbent

For this purpose, the cotton pellet is soaked with liquids such as alcohol to completely remove residues like grease, blood, or saliva from the crown. Afterwards, the crown is dried with an air blower and can be filled with luting cement.

The BluePell Cotton Pellets are non-sterile cotton pellets made from particularly soft and highly absorbent material. The pellets are available in various sizes and are suitable for tasks such as controlling bleeding, drying, or applying cold spray. For example, sizes 0 or 1 can be used to degrease a crown or dry a small cavity. The BluePell Cotton Pellets come in a 10 g pack.

For applying liquids or pastes, cotton swabs can be used. These feature a working end with a soft cotton tip and an extra-long wooden stick, making them ideal for gentle cleaning of the gums, oral disinfection, and applying oral care products or tinctures. The disposable product is available in a pack of 100 non-sterile swabs.
