Medical Human Skeletons for Clinics and Therapy Practices

Skeleton models are often used for patient education in medical or physiotherapy practices, as well as as teaching aids in medical training and university courses. The three-dimensional visualisation of bones makes learning easier and helps to clearly demonstrate the anatomical structures of the human skeleton.

Full-Body Skeleton Models

In addition to bone models of individual structures, such as joint models or skulls, our online shop also offers complete human skeletons – both as life-size models and in reduced scale. The life-size skeletons typically feature a flexible spine and movable limbs, allowing various movement patterns to be clearly demonstrated.

For more detailed demonstrations, some anatomical skeletons allow individual limbs, such as arms or legs, to be detached and moved separately. As a teaching aid, for example during medical studies, a complete unassembled skeleton set is also available, which must be assembled by the user.

Smaller skeleton models, such as the Mini Skeleton at 42 cm in height, are particularly suitable as desktop models. This allows physicians to easily demonstrate the human musculoskeletal system during patient consultations. For stability, the models are mounted on a stand.

These models are ideal for demonstrating the use of diagnostic instruments, helping to reduce patient anxiety. The instruments, as well as the appropriate accessories, can be found in the Diagnostics category. This section also includes other teaching aids and materials for illustrative purposes.

Partial Skeleton Models

Partial skeleton models illustrate the anatomy of a specific section of the skeletal system. In addition to bones, many models also depict other structures such as muscles, tendons, or blood vessels. These models are particularly suitable for specialist practices and clinics for targeted patient education, for example, during treatment or in preparation for surgical procedures.

The models are generally mounted on a stand and created in life-size. At Praxisdienst, you will find, among others, models of extremities, such as the Hand Skeleton with Ligaments or the Foot Skeleton with Ligaments, as well as joint models, such as the Elbow Model or Hip Joint Model.

Didactic Skeleton Models

Didactic skeleton models are primarily designed for educational purposes but can also be used to illustrate specific anatomical structures. The anatomical details are colour-coded, making it easier to distinguish individual bones, muscles, or ligaments.

In our online shop, for example, you will find the “Didactic Spine with Pelvis,” a life-size model that allows the anatomy of the spine to be demonstrated clearly. The cervical, thoracic, and lumbar vertebrae, as well as the sacrum and coccyx, are easily distinguishable thanks to different colouring. Additional anatomical details such as intervertebral discs, spinal nerves, vertebral arteries, and the male pelvis are also represented.

Some of the didactic models are detachable, allowing an even more detailed visualisation of human anatomy. For instance, with the Coloured Skull available in our online shop, the movable lower jaw and the skull cap can be removed, providing a clear view of the interior of the human skull.
