For the use of medical cameras in microsurgery, particularly high image resolution is required. The SONY MCC-1000MD Two-Part Surgical Full HD Video Camera is ideal for this purpose. Its extremely high sensitivity allows remarkably clear images to be captured in near-complete darkness. As a result, the MCC-1000MD is used, for example, in ophthalmic surgical procedures involving the posterior segment of the eye.

The camera head of the surgical camera from SONY combines three Exmor™ CMOS image sensors and enables a particularly high level of detail in microsurgical or minimally invasive procedures.
