Audiometers for Hearing Tests & Measuring Hearing Ability
Screening audiometers are diagnostic machines that are used to measure the hearing ability of patients by means of hearing tests. Audiometry, as with tympanometry, is often applied in Ear, Nose and Throat surgeries (ENT). Depending on the type of screening audiometer, the devices can be used for pure tone audiometry (hearing tests with a pure tone audiometer) and/or for speech audiometry (language comprehension via a speech audiometer).
In tone audiometry patients are presented with specific tones of increasing volume in order to to measure auditory sensitivity. We stock screening audiometers specially designed for children which test hearing ability in a playful manner. Depending on the device, speech comprehension can also be tested during a hearing test.
Mobile Audiometers for Audiology
The Auditest Audiometer by ELECTRONICA Technologies is a practical mobile device in this category. It is especially handy, features a large LCD display, and has quiet, responsive buttons. High-quality Sennheiser headphones, a carrying case, and batteries are also included in the scope of delivery.
Also ideal for use on the go is the OmniPro multifunction instrument. In addition to an audiometer, it includes many other diagnostic tools such as a stethoscope, an otoscope, and an ophthalmoscope. This versatile combination is particularly suitable for diagnostics by medical students, occupational physicians, and doctors conducting frequent home visits.
To detect middle ear disorders, it is useful to compare the hearing thresholds of air conduction and bone conduction. An ideal audiometer for this purpose in our shop is the Maico MA33 Audiometer. The recorded data can be easily transferred and saved in various software applications via a PC interface.
Audiometers for Children
Our range also includes audiometers specifically designed for children. These devices are tailored to the pediatric setting, ensuring accurate measurements even with younger patients. They often feature child-friendly interfaces, visual reinforcement, and adjustable sound levels to make the hearing test engaging and precise for kids.
For audiometric screening tests in children who are three years and older we offer the Pilot Test from Maico, which can be performed in 15 languages. The hearing test has a colourful display where the child has to point out different words. The hearing test also offers pure tone audiometry in eight frequencies for school aged children.
Tympanometer for Middle Ear Analysis
Tympanometry is a diagnostic procedure for middle ear analysis in ENT. Middle ear pressure is determined by means of an impedance measurement of the eardrum. The physician is then able to assess the condition of the ossicular chain. Tympanometry is carried out with a tympanometer.
A tympanometer is a diagnostic device for audiometry that consists of a tone generator, a pressure pump and a microphone. The tympanometer measures the acoustic resistance of the eardrum unde
By analysing changes in the normal tympanogram curve under different pressure conditions, conclusions can be drawn about various diseases of the eardrum and middle ear.
If you are looking for suitable accessories or other diagnostic devices for detecting conditions, you will find what you need in our Diagnostics category. Here you will also find wellness and therapy products, as well as teaching aids.
