Tubular Bandages for Securing Wound Dressings
Tubular bandages are types of bandaging materials used to secure wound dressings, known for their ease of use. They are particularly suitable for dressings that require frequent inspection, as they can be secured quickly and economically with net or tubular bandages. During dressing changes, the tubular bandage is simply lifted and the wound dressing replaced. Both types of bandages are generally unsterile. An elastic tubular bandage can also be used as a skin protector or as an underlayer for plaster or compression bandages.
Classic Tubular Bandages
For quick and easy dressing changes, we offer universal tubular bandages with or without padding. These bandages are elastic, often seamless, made from cotton, and particularly skin-friendly—for example, the Stülpa tubular bandage from Paul Hartmann. The padded tg tubular bandage from Lohmann-Rauscher, on the other hand, is used as an underlayer for plaster and cast bandages.
For Fingers, Hands, Feet or Head
Whether for arms or legs, Praxisdienst supplies the appropriate tubular bandage for every area—even elastic finger bandages for children are available in white and various colours. Additionally, we offer special pre-shaped bandages for hands or feet, which are easy to apply due to their good fit and elasticity, and are comfortable to wear. For time-saving application on the hands, washable and sterilizable gloves in various sizes are available. Special Tubular Bandages
Specifically designed for fat-moist therapy in patients with atopic dermatitis, we offer the Coverflex tubular bandage from Hartmann. It is made from a dense, silk-like material and prevents ointments from seeping through, reliably protecting clothing from soiling.
