CPR Masks for Resuscitating Emergency Patients
The term CPR mask is understood as a resuscitation aid that is used for resuscitating emergency patients. The masks are used in first aid to protect the rescuers during mouth-to-mouth or mouth-to-nose resuscitation. During classic resuscitation without additional supplies, the administrator presses their mouth onto the patient's mouth, which presents an infectious risk. As a result, many masks are equipped with an additional valve that reduces the risk of infection even more.
The most common resuscitation supplies are the resuscitation face shield, the CPR foil that is often carried on a keychain or the CPR, which is popular for use as a pocket mask.
Pocket Masks for Resuscitation
Face masks protect the first aider against infection and increase the distance between the aider and the patient. As a result, the helper can keep an eye on the patient's chest to monitor its rising and falling. Due to the high protection against infection as well as the distance between the oxygen administrator and the receiver, the helper's inhibitions can be lowered.
Depending on the manufacturer, pocket masks, such as the Air-Vita extra Pocket Mask from Söhngen are available in various sizes, for use with adults, teenagers and children.
