Save Lives with the Layman Defibrillator
Sudden cardiac arrest is a very common cause of death. In most cases, death is caused by severe ventricular tachycardia that turns into ventricular fibrillation and reduces the pumping function of the heart to such an extend that it leads to a circulatory arrest. Defibrillation is the most effective way to end this condition and to restore normal impulse generation and transmission in the heart muscle. It can be carried out with a classic, manual or semi-automatic defibrillator.
Why Semi-Automatic Defibrillators?
An affordable alternative with voice prompts but without instructional videos is the Schiller FRED PA-1 in fully automatic configuration. The user-friendly interface allows automatic shock delivery. Optionally, the device can be purchased with a Free CPR function, which guides the rate for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The defibrillator is equipped with a powerful battery capable of delivering up to 140 shocks and offers a 6-year standby time.
Defibrillators for Laypersons and Medical Professionals
For use by medical personnel or non-medical first responders, we offer semi-automatic external defibrillators. For safe and simple operation in emergencies, we recommend the LifeLine ECG Defibrillator by Defibtech. This device, with a 4-year standby time, allows resuscitation with ECG monitoring and an AED video mode, guiding inexperienced first responders safely through the resuscitation process. Additionally, it includes an ECG monitoring mode enabling physicians to observe the patient’s ECG in real time.
A slightly more affordable and larger device is the BeneHeart D1 Public by Mindray. This defibrillator is designed for both laypersons and medical professionals. Its voice prompts and video animations guide inexperienced users safely through resuscitation and defibrillation while providing additional information. For rapid readiness, the electrodes are pre-connected, saving valuable time during the critical first minutes of an emergency.

AED Defibrillator Training Devices at Praxisdienst
Defibrillators are used in cases of cardiac arrest to save lives. To ensure that professional assistance can be provided quickly in an emergency, training devices are available to learn the correct use of a defibrillator.
In our online shop, a training device example is the LifeLine Trainer DDU-2000. This training device allows users to practice the correct use of LifeLine View, ECG, and Pro defibrillators. It includes six pre-programmed training scenarios simulating various situations, such as handling ventricular fibrillation or replacing faulty electrodes.
Another defibrillator trainer is the AED LifeLine Trainer. With this device, you can learn the correct operation of the LifeLine AED and AUTO AED. It enables realistic training in defibrillator use, with selectable semi-automatic or fully automatic settings.
If you need suitable defibrillator accessories such as electrodes, batteries, wall mounts, or carrying cases, these are available in our online shop under the Defibrillator Accessories category.
