This deciduous teeth model illustrates the processes in the jaw associated with the change from baby to permanent sets of teeth between the ages of 3 and 12 years. In each case, the model contrasts the development status of sets of teeth in two consecutive age groups. For this purpose, the gums can be removed on either side of the jaw, so that the advancing and succeeding teeth can be seen.
The older teeth are shown on the left of the jaw, and the younger set of teeth on the right (with removable gums). This makes it easier to understand the development steps.
