PanOptic ophthalmoscope from Welch Allyn

A "panoramic view" of the eyeground. The PanOptic ophthalmoscope permits you to better diagnose diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and hypertension. The PanOptic ophthalmoscope can also be used for non-dilated pupils and offers not only a 5-times larger field of view in comparison to standard ophthalmoscopes, but also provides 26% greater magnification. Thanks to the larger distance between doctor and patient, examinations are made much more comfortable for the patient.

Advantages of the PanOptic ophthalmoscope

  • 5-times larger fundus area compared to conventional ophthalmoscopes
  • Easy to view, even with small non-dilated pupils
  • 25° panorama field of view
  • 26% higher magnification
  • Axial PointSource Optics
  • HPX halogen lamp for whiter, brighter light
  • Anti-glare system – prevents interference from unwanted glare and reflections
  • Soft, ergonomically designed handle
  • Dial for aperture/filter, for selection of a micro-spot, small and large circular aperture, including red-free filter and slit diaphragm
  • Compared to conventional ophthalmoscopes, the PanOptic allows for a larger and thus more pleasant working distance between the patient and doctor.
  • Supplied without battery handle

The PanOptic ophthalmoscope can be used with all 3.5V power sources from Welch Allyn.
