The paraffin bath is a new form of heat therapy. It is used to treat arthritis, inflammation and muscle tension, and to provide follow-up care for fractures, strains and sprains. A paraffin bath is used to stimulate the circulation and nourish dry, flaking skin without the need for any active ingredients.
The paraffin bath contains heated wax (paraffin) into which the hands or feet are dipped for a short period, several times. The skin is covered by a pleasantly warm coating of wax. The hands or feet are then wrapped in film and special gloves or boots. The paraffin now causes the skin to perspire. This opens the pores and improves circulation to the hands or feet. However, because they are completely wrapped in the wax, no moisture is lost. The paraffin can be removed from the body after approx. 15 to 20 minutes.
Delivery includes: paraffin bath, paraffin wax, one towel cover for the hands and feet, 50 plastic disposable gloves.
