Ambu® Man Basic
The AmbuMan® Basic is a high-quality, robust training device for practising correct chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth or mouth-to-nose ventilation. The resuscitation manikin is ideally suited to the needs of BLS algorithm training.
The correct compression depth is monitored by a control indicator and enables the user to make an easily visible assessment of the compression strength. The correct ventilation volume can also be checked by visual monitoring. In addition, the realistic breathing resistance and the visible lifting and lowering of the chest allow training under very realistic conditions.

When used correctly, internal cleaning of the BLS algorithm training device is not necessary, as the user-friendly Ambu hygiene system prevents contamination of the resuscitation manikin as well as cross-contamination. For this purpose, a face mask is put on the manikin during training and one of the supplied air bags is placed under the face mask inside the head of the training manikin. This catches the user's breath. After training, the disposable air bag is simply disposed of and the mask is cleaned and disinfected.
The airways open only with correct hyperextension of the head. Due to the disposable air bags inside the head of the training manikin, the air is displaced from the torso of the training device during ventilation, which leads to a visible lifting of the torso or chest. After ventilation, the air audibly flows back through the nose and mouth and the ribcage lowers again. Furthermore, there is a control display that shows the volume of supplied air.
