Product Description

LEA GRATINGS® Paddles

The LEA GRATINGS® paddles made of plastic were specially designed for preferential looking test situations to determine detection acuity. They are suitable for testing children, patients with a disability or senior citizens, as the eye test can also be performed non-verbally.

The delivery includes 4 paddles with a protective cover. Three of the paddles have parallel black and white stripes in different widths and distances on both the front and the back. The fourth paddle has a grey surface.

The paddles have a surface diameter of 20.3 cm. In addition, they are equipped with a practical handle that allows for quick swapping during the examination.

Application

For the visual test, a stripe paddle is held out to the patient together with the grey paddle. If the patient looks at the stripe paddle, this is an indication that he/she recognises the stripes in the respective gradation well. As soon as the patient directs their gaze to the grey paddle, it can be assumed that they can no longer perceive the stripe pattern. Visual acuity can be determined here from 0.25 to 8.00 cpcm. The standard test level is 57 cm, but it can be reduced if necessary.
