Pagasling Non-Sterile Swabs
Pagasling swabs from Hartmann are made of 20-ply gauze. The gauze balls are so entwined that the cut edges lie on the inside of the Pagasling swab. Due to their high absorption capacity, the swabs are often used for haemostasis, wound cleansing and large-area skin disinfection. The non-sterile gauze balls are available in different sizes and packaging units according to need.

The material as such is really excellent but calling the size "walnut sized" is completely misleading. It might be true that the convex hull of one wadding piece is the size of a walnut but in your hand it feels rather like a pea with some loose ends around.
One should specify the average minimum and maximum diameter of these in centimeter. The minimum diameter of these "walnut sized" wadding pieces, i.e., the size of the main knot, is about 5--7 mm.
