"Spherasorb" Soda Lime
The "Spherasorb" soda lime from Intersurgical is used in anaesthesia rebreathing systems to bind carbon dioxide in the exhaled air. The round shape reduces dust formation and the 3-4 mm diameter allows for practicable application. Moreover, the chemical formula provides exceptional absorption capacities and makes the soda lime balls change from white to violet when they are saturated with carbon dioxide. The added zeolithe even reduces the risk of dehydration.
The soda lime is available in a 1 kg bag, a 5 litre canister or in various cartridges that can directly be connected to anaesthesia devices.
