Emergency Bags & Rescue Rucksacks for use in Emergency Services
A first aid bag or rescue rucksack is especially useful for emergency services as they provide secure transportation of first aid equipment, such as rescusitators, tourniquets, pulse oximeters and blood pressure monitors, as well as bandages and dressings for wounds or burns.
Both are excellent, lightweight options that make it comfortable to carry your kit, even over long stretches or uncertain terrain. Emergency backpacks are particularly useful for emergency doctors, first responders or EMTs who need to have their hands free, for example when the patient is being transported on a stretcher. Therefore, most mountain rescue agents only use the practical rescue rucksack.
Medical holdalls can be easily held or worn over your shoulder. These equipment bags offer the advantage of a clear overview of the contents. On the inside, you will mostly find flexible compartments that help you pack and refill your medical kit based on themes or situation and thus increase your emergency preparedness.
Emergency bags protect your first aid equipment
Both the medic bag and emergency backpack are generally made with a water-repellent base, made from non-absorbent tarpaulin, which keeps the contents dry when the bag comes in contact with water or other dirts and liquids. We also stock completely waterproof models, such as the Teqler Waterproof Rescue Bag. This prevents the contents of the bag from coming into contact with water or dirt, even if the bag is placed on a damp surface.
In addition to a large, main compartment, there are usually many outer compartments. Depending on the size these can hold pulse oximeters, diagnostic lamps, ampoule kits, rescusitators or defibrillators. The outer compartments offer the advantage of quick and easy accessibility. Therefore, outer compartments should always contain the most important medical supplies, as well as those that need to be quickly accessed.
In order to make the wearer of the bag clearly visible in poor lighting conditions, first aid bags and emergency backpacks are often designed with reflective stripes. This is especially important during nighttime use when the accident site is on a road.
Molle pouches offer quick access to medical supplies
In order to provide quick access and a perfect overview, emergency bags and backpacks can be outfitted with so called molle pouches. The molle pouch is available empty or filled and offers you the posibility to sort your first aid supplies by theme, while also protecting them from moisture and contamination. The inside of molle pouches either contains items for specific tests and treatments, or comprehensive supplies for specific themes, e.g. injections or diagnostics.
