The ZOLL AED PLUS® fully automatic is an automatic external defibrillator that analyses the ECG rhythms detected and automatically delivers shocks when needed. It uses a range of audio-visual prompts such as voice prompts, text messages and graphic displays to assist the resuscitator. The real-time feedback and instructions help the responder provide the best CPR possible in a rescue. In addition, the practical CPR metronome function makes it easier for the first aider to maintain the correct rhythm during chest compressions.
In combination with the CPR-D-padz® adult electrodes, the defibrillator also provides information about compression depth. In addition, ECG rhythms, event data and ambient sounds can be captured to record the rescuer's voice and transmitted to a PC using the IrDA port. The sophisticated device cover can be used to provide passive airway support by positioning the neck and shoulders correctly to aid victim airway management.
