Medical Filing Cabinets
The Filing Cabinet in the Doctor's Office or Hospital
Even in the digital age, it is impossible to imagine a practice or office or any kind of healthcare facility without the traditional filing cabinet for secure storage of medical records and medical documents. In the filing cabinet, important documents and files find a safe and orderly place in the form of an index card.
Thanks to innovative technologies such as the pull-out stop and the self-retraction mechanism with damping, the drawers of the unit can be closed almost silently. The drawers usually rest on ball bearing guides, which make modern file cabinets particularly easy to open and close.
The Filing Cabinet in Various Colours and Designs
The filing cabinet is available in various sizes and for various formats. Thus, the timeless filing cabinet creates space for filing index cards in A4 or A5 format. In most cases, the DIN A5 index cards are sorted crosswise, optionally in three or two rows next to each other in the filing cabinet for efficient storage. Besides the number of tracks, you have the choice between cabinets with three to six drawers.
Depending on the number of tracks and drawers, the DIN A5 file cabinets differ in width and height. The uniform depth of the cupboards is 60 cm.
A cupboard add-on to complement a Mauser filing cabinet creates additional space for DIN A4 format files. The top cabinet is mounted on the Mauser file card cabinet and aesthetically harmonises with it.
The file cabinets from individual manufacturers can differ greatly in their appearance. Many pieces of furniture are made of steel, but some are also made of wood, such as the designer filing cabinet from C+P. Well-known manufacturers, such as Mauser, sell office cabinets in various colours, such as yellow, blue, green, light grey, pure white and red, so that the medical cabinets contribute to the harmonious overall appearance of the practice or office.
Depending on taste and functionality, you can choose between a classic bow handle and a continuous handle strip for opening the drawers. In addition, the drawers can be labelled using high-quality plastic label frames on the handles, through which the classification scheme of the DIN A5 or A4 index card is visible at first glance and long searches are avoided.
Protection of confidential patient data can be ensured by central locking. This way, all drawers of the file cabinets can be locked via a central lock for secure storage of records. The classic DIN A5 steel filing cabinet can thus be protected against unauthorised access.
