The Accu-Chek Instant control solution is used to check the function of the Accu-Chek Instant blood glucose meter and the Accu-Chek Instant test strips. Such a check is necessary, for example, when a new test strip pack is opened or when the correct performance of the blood glucose measurement needs to be checked.

Instructions for Use
Check the expiry date on the test strip vial in advance and discard the test strips if the expiry date has passed.
Remove a test strip, reseal the vial and insert the test strip into the meter as usual. The meter switches on and the flashing drop symbol appears.
Open the control solution bottle and wipe the tip with a paper towel. Squeeze the bottle so that a small drop forms.
Do not apply the control solution to the top of the test strip, but bring the yellow edge of the test strip close to the drop of control solution. As soon as a sufficient amount of solution has been applied, an hourglass symbol flashes on the display.
Then the measured value of the function control, the bottle symbol and the indication "L1" appear on the display.
Press the down arrow key and confirm the control solution level with which the control was carried out.
If the reading is within range, "OK" appears on the display. However, if the value is out of range, the display shows "Err".
Finally, clean the tip of the bottle again with a paper towel and close the bottle tightly. The used test strip is removed and disposed of.
Please Note:
Only use the Accu-Chek Instant control solution with the Accu-Chek Instant blood glucose meter.
The bottle must be resealed immediately after use.
The expiration date for the controls is three (3) months after opening or until the expiration date on the control box if unopened.
On the Accu-Chek Instant blood glucose meter, it is not necessary to set whether control solution or blood has been drawn into the test strip - this is detected automatically by the device.
