Microscopes & Accessories for Medical Practices, Labs or Teaching
Microscopes provide a magnified view of objects, such as plant elements, microorganisms, tissues or other biological samples. The objective lens relays a real image of the object to the eyepiece. In medicine, microscopes are used, for example, in gynaecology or haematology to examine blood cells and tissue cells. They are also used in many other areas, such as parasitology, veterinary medicine, research and teaching. Compound microscopes magnify up to about 1000x and generally have halogen, LED or fluorescent illumination, depending on needs and preferences.
Reflected & Transmitted Light Microscopes for Teaching, Research & the Lab
The microscope most often used in surgeries, schools and small laboratories is the optical microscope, often referred to as a light microscope. A basic distinction can be made between reflected and transmitted light microscopes. With a reflected light microscope the object is illuminated from above allowing the surface of opaque objects to be viewed more closely. With a transmitted light microscope the object is illuminated from below which is particularly important when viewing completely or partially translucent objects.
Wide Range of High-Quality Microscopes at Favourable Prices
In our online shop you will find a large selection of medical optical microscopes from renowned manufacturers. Whatever the type of optical microscope, e.g. binocular, trinocular, or phase contrast, we are sure to stock a microscope with objective lens to suit your clinical microscopy needs.
Zeiss Microscopes
The top quality Zeiss compound microscopes have excellent optics and provide clear, high-contrast images. The design of the microscopes allows for a secure stand and easy transport. Objects are clamped on the stage by means of a practical spring clamp and can be easily positioned.
In our online shop we stock the Primostar 3 Phase Contrast Microscope from Zeiss. This binocular microscope is equipped with a Ph2 lens for 40x and two eyepieces with SF22/10x magnification. It is perfect for high-contrast imaging of transparent, unstained specimens. The full Köhler illumination can be individually adjusted to enable optimal illumination of the specimen. This is ideal for use in gynaecology or immunology, for example. The Primostar 3 with Camera and LED light source is suitable for teaching or documentation purposes. The integrated, network-compatible 8 MP camera offers high resolution and optimal image quality. In addition, the three high-quality iPlan achromatic objectives, together with the 10x eyepieces, allow 40x, 100x and 400x magnification of the specimen. We also offer a microscope with NCG objectives and LED illumination from Zeiss, which allows microscopy without the use of a cover glass and a total magnification of 1000x.
Olympus Microscopes
The compound Olympus microscopes are transmitted light microscopes that include special features in the basic equipment depending on the model and the desired area of application. For example, we stock the CX33 Laboratory Microscope. This biological microscope has an LED light source, offers up to 400x magnification and is optionally available for right-handed or left-handed use.
The Olympus CX43 Fluorescence Microscope is a particularly high-quality microscope with a wide range of applications. The compound microscope is equipped with 2 wide field eyepieces as well as a reflected-light fluorescence condenser and a 7-position carousel, which means that the microscope can be used for bright-field microscopy, dark-field microscopy and fluorescence microscopy. Additionally, there is the option to connect a camera for viewing and documentation purposes.
Euromex Microscopes
Euromex offers high-quality microscopes for a wide range of uses. We stock a range of cost-effective monocular microscopes for schools and educational institutions, such as the Euromex EcoBlue with adjustable LED illumination.
For use in laboratories and medical practices, you will find ergonomic binocular transmitted light microscopes with and without rechargeable batteries, as well as particularly comfortable handheld microscopes.
Bresser Microscopes
The Bresser microscopes are characterised by a good price-performance ratio and are excellent for schools and hobbies, as well as for professional use in laboratories.
The most popular of the Bresser microscopes is the Researcher Trino Transmitted Light Microscope. This is a trinocular microscope with a sharp, high-contrast microscope image with up to 1000x magnification, to which a camera can also be connected for documentation purposes. In addition, the Researcher Trino can be used for darkfield microscopy with the separately available darkfield condenser.
Kern Microscopes
We offer an assortment of fully equipped Kern microscopes for various laboratory applications at attractive prices.
The Phase Contrast Microscope OBL 158 is particularly interesting for urology, gynaecology or immunology. The microscope is equipped with a coarse and fine drive on both sides, which enables fast positioning of the specimen. In addition, the high-quality infinity plan phase contrast objectives provide an optimal representation of the specimen.
We also stock the OCM 161 Inverted Microscope from Kern with halogen illumination, which provides a large working distance and is ideal for examining cell cultures in culture vessels (flasks, petri dishes, microtiter plates).
Furthermore, you will find microscopes from Krüss and Heinz Herenz in our online shop. You may also purchase extensive accessories for microscopy, such as immersion oil, tissue paper, a swan neck stand for handheld microscopes and various microscope cameras.
In the overview of the Lab Equipment category, in addition to consumables, you will find more laboratory devices and equipment, compatible accessories, as well as tests for various applications.
