Drug Test for the Rapid Detection of Drug Use

Drug tests or rapid drug tests are used, among other places, in detoxification centres, in hospital emergency rooms or during police checks. In the case of a justified suspicion, it can be determined very quickly whether the tested drugs have been consumed. Since simultaneous use of multiple drugs is common, manufacturers usually offer kits that can be used to test for several substances at the same time.

Urine Drug Tests

Urine is often used as a test medium for a drug test, as the active drug ingredients or their degradation products can usually be detected in it for a few days up to a week, depending on the drug. In addition, a urine sample can also be submitted and examined without any problems outside the practice or laboratory rooms.

A particularly large number of substances can be tested simultaneously with the urine drug test "Premium". The test detects up to 10 drugs. Therefore, the test strip is held in the urine sample for 10 seconds and the result is read after 10 to 15 minutes. The "Multi-Drug-5" test is a faster method. With this urine test, the result is already available after 5 minutes, but it can only be used to test for five or six drugs at the same time.

To ensure that the urine sample and thus the urine drug test has not been manipulated, a so-called urine falsification test can be performed, which helps to exclude manipulation through dilution with water or the addition of various substances (e.g., acids to change the pH value or aldehydes).

Saliva Drug Tests

Drug testing using a saliva sample is a modern alternative to urine drug testing. It can be performed anywhere and at any time without any problems and can be performed under supervision without violating privacy. In a saliva drug test, attempts at manipulation can be very easily prevented.
