A micropipette is always of use when very small volumes need to be pipetted or transferred.
Details of the micropipette:
- Manual pipette for use with capillaries and capillary tubes
- Ideal for very small volumes
- Easy and safe to use
- Includes adapter for use with different-size capillary tubes
Applications for the micropipette:
In addition to the conventional practice of pipetting of small volumes, which is commonly done in the laboratory, these micropipettes are an ideal instrument to facilitate taking capillary blood and applying it, for example, onto rapid tests.
The micropipette can therefore be used in doctors' surgeries as well as in laboratories or blood donation centres.
Using the micropipette:
This micropipette is designed for use with capillaries or capillary tubes. They are simply inserted into the tip of the micropipette and are ready to use. An adapter for using different-size capillary tubes is included.
The capillary tube is then dipped into the liquid to be pipetted, the button is pressed and the micropipette soaks up the liquid. To dispense the liquid into the intended vessel, the button on the micropipette is pressed again.
When taking capillary blood, the capillary tube is simply kept close to the drops of blood and the required amount of blood taken by pressing the button. Since the micropipette can simply and reliably take exact amounts of blood, it is also ideal for applying blood onto rapid tests.
Includes: 1 micropipette, 1 adapter for capillary tubes, 1 instruction manual.
