Sterilization Packaging & Containers for Sterile Goods

Sterilization packaging and sterilization containers provide storage for sterile goods. While the containers are suited more for instrument sets, the sterilization bags and sterilization foil are conceived for wrapping individual surgical instruments and medical devices. They are suited for different sterilization processes and meant for use with various sterilizers, e.g., hot air sterilizers (which have a slow rate of heat penetration) or autoclaves using pressurized steam.

Sterilization packaging, like sterilization bags, pouches and foil, award a long shelf life to sterile items and are equipped with a coloured indicator that displays successful sterilization via a colour change.

The sterilization foils are normally found on rolls, are made of medical paper and transparent polypropylene plastic and can be cut as needed, which makes them particularly economical. Bag sealers seal the instruments in the packaging to prevent the contents from being contaminated.

They comply with EN868-8, ensure complete sterility and can achieve up to 6 months sterile shelf life, under proper storage conditions. Our shop also stocks the MELAG Standard Tray Cassettes and a MELAG Swab Sterilization Container with an integrated filter cloth that can be used with various types of sterilisers, e.g., an autoclave using saturated steam.
