Presurgical Hair Removal
Preoperative hair removal is an integral part of preparing for surgery on hairy body parts. Body hair is shaved e.g. prior to surgical procedures on the skull, the sternum in men or the genital area in women.
It is of particular importance that the medical razor doesn't injure the patient when shaving their head or body to prevent postsurgical wound infections. To guarantee patient safety, the razors should at least be double-edged and be equipped with a blade protection that prevents accidental cuts and injuries.
Disposable Razors for Hair Removal
Disposable razors, also known as single-use razors, are used in surgeries and hospitals for quick and hygienic hair removal. They are for example used prior to surgical operations or ECG examinations for patients with thick body hair.
Alternatively, they can be used as regular razors for stationary patients, e.g. for facial hair, if there are no other supplies available. Depending on the manufacturer, the surgical prep razors are single edge or contain multiple blades.
The non-sterile disposable razors are equipped with double sided razor blades to facilitate gentle and safe shaving of body contours.
Clippers with Disposable Razor Heads
As an alternative to disposable razors for shaving manually, Praxisdienst also offers electric razors that are used with disposable razor blades. The advantage of these razors is, that they are operated quickly and easily, while the risk of injury is particularly low. Their ergonomically shaped handles allow for a secure grip, and depending on the model, they can be used both for wet shaves and dry shaves.
Of course, we also offer charging stations for these professional safety razors, where they can both be charged and stored. As a result, they will always be ready for use. With us, you will find clippers as well as suitable accessories, like charging stations and packs of razor heads at affordable prices.
