Dermatoscopy
Dermatoscopy in Veterinary Medicine
Dermatoscopes are used in dermatology to view the skin - also in veterinary medicine. The ultra-modern devices help show details in the outer layer of skin that would not be visible to the naked eye. This makes diagnoses easier or even possible in the first place.
Dermatoscopes can be used on dogs, cats and other animals, especially on areas of the body with little fur, to assess pigmented skin lesions, among other things. It is used as a complementary exam, in addition to clinical and histological examination methods of skin diseases.

Choose between cross-polarised and non-polarised light and view deeper structures thanks to the Pigment Boost Plus mode.
The Heine iC1, on the other hand, offers up to 40x magnification and LED HQ illumination in conjunction with an iPhone and the corresponding app. The advantage of this model is the ability to save images, add notes, send them and mark them on a body map - all in the free app.
