Compresses for Animals
Compresses for Veterinary Wound Treatment
In our assortment, you will find a wide selection of compresses that are excellent for daily treatments in the veterinary clinic. Compresses are among the most used consumables in medicine and have diverse applications. Compresses are available in various sizes and material compositions to ensure that they are suited for the planned purpose.
Non-Sterile Compresses for the Veterinary Clinic
Non-sterile compresses are excellent for cleaning and disinfecting heavily contaminated wounds which do not require a sterile working method. When combined with iodine-based tinctures, the pathogenic germs are killed and wound infection prevented. Their firm and non-linting composition does not leave any residue behind in the wound and, therefore, provides an hygienic treatment of deeper and uneven wounds.
Sterile Compresses for Veterinary Medicine
The use of sterile instruments is unavoidable for surgical procedures. Even the consumables used in the operating theatre must be sterile in order to prevent penetration by pathogens. Based on their high absorbent capacity, wound compresses easily soak up secretions that make vision difficult during the operation. Sterile compresses can also be reliably applied for covering smaller puncture points such as after a joint puncture or injection.
Furthermore, you will find wound covers in our assortment which are equipped with a special yellow coating. Hydrocellular elements in the gel surface foster the formation of a moist wound milieu which encourages wound healing. This also prevents the injured tissue from adhering to the cover and interrupting the granulation phase.
Moreover, you will find an additional selection of ointment, non-woven, gauze, gel, slitted and absorbent compresses in our veterinary shop.
