Adhesive Plasters for Animals as Used in Veterinary Medicine
Adhesive plasters are bandages used for covering smaller wounds. Usually, they consist of an adhesive plaster combined with a soft, absorbent wound cover. Typical adhesive plasters are often also used on small injuries to the personnel or pet owner.
Postoperative Wound Treatment and Treatment of Smaller Wounds
Pre-cut adhesive plasters like Cosmopor steril, can be used as the first cover for fresh surgical wounds. Most adhesive plasters, however, are available as an economical roll, a few meters long. This allows for flexible application, as the plasters can be individually sized to each wound.
Silver and Aluminium Spray for Wound Coverage
Silver and aluminium sprays can be used as dressing protection or replacement. This form of wound treatment is especially well suited for grazing animals with smaller wounds that need to be covered. The film-creating aluminium spray can also be applied to treat surgical wounds. This wound spray simultaneously disinfects the wound and protects it from contamination.
