Almost one calf in three suffers from calf diarrhoea in the first 2 weeks. As a calf with diarrhoea loses a lot of liquid, electrolytes, energy and buffer substances, this illness can develop into life-threatening acidosis.
Oregastrol-akut works against this progression of the disease, as it quickly introduces new electrolytes and energy into the calf. Normal milk drinking can be maintained during treatment. The probiotic properties of Oregastrol-akut stabilise digestion and help eliminate harmful germs, such as coliform bacteria, salmonellae and clostridia.
As Oregastrol-akut is supplied in practical injectors, it is easy to administer. The first dose should be given at the first signs of diarrhoea and administration can be maintained for approx. 3 days. In addition, Oregastrol-akut can be administered if there is a danger of diarrhoea or after digestive disorders.
Oregastrol-akut contains bentonite and montmorillonite.
