Where should or shouldn't the diffuser be placed?
Use the diffuser in the room where the cat spends most of its time, or where its problematic behaviour occurs the most. We do not recommend its use in hallways, because cats don't spend much time there. This also applies to litter boxes.
In which cases is the Feliway diffuser not recommended?
Before you choose to use the diffuser, you should rule out some factors. If the litter box is not clean, this may be the reason why the cat urinates in the home. You should also rule out disease-related reasons for urinating.
Are there any side effects known?

Is the pheromone of the Feliway diffuser also perceptible to humans and other animals?
No, the feliway "messages" are specific to cats and can't be perceived by humans or even dogs. If you have fish or cage birds, however, we recommend to use the spray in another room as a precautionary measure.
