But first, let's provide a little more background. The English language version of the Praxisdienst online shop was not always the thriving spectacle you see today. In fact, when Praxisdienst originally introduced itself to the English markets, the majority of the website and product pages were translated by outside agencies who, at no fault of their own, did not quite understand the needs and desires of our customers. It quickly became clear that we needed to bring in a language expert with a solid understanding of business who possesses the ability to reach our customers and find out exactly what they need.
In 2016, Praxisdienst brought in Ryne Cook to be the Country Manager for the English online shop. While great emphasis was originally placed on improving the above mentioned translations, Ryne shared the company's vision of the future and knew much more had to be done if the company was to reach it's full potential. In addition to optimising written content, Ryne has been active in nearly all other aspects of the company in order to improve the overall customer experience. He saw the value in personal communication with our customers and even took it upon himself to take calls, emails and even live chat requests to not only assure our customers are receiving the best possible service, but also to understand them on a human level.
The insights gained have greatly improved customer interaction, website
usability (Praxisdienst won the Shop Usability Award in 2017 for the
best B2B online shop based in Germany), marketing strategies, product
assortment and overall service. In only a few short years, Praxisdienst has become a leading medical supplier for English-speaking customers around the world. Thanks to the selflessness of team members like Ryne who ask nothing in return for their success, we have been able to expand our warehouse and extend our reach to customers spanning all time zones from the UK and Ireland, Denmark and Scandinavia, to North America, Africa, Australia and Asia.
In order to accommodate our customers around the world, Praxisdienst accepts payments in many local currencies. You should not have to hassle with calculating exchange rates–we do this work for you. The exchange rate is updated every Tuesday and Friday to minimise the number of fluctuations. This helps keep our prices consistent and in a currency that you can understand.
