Veterinary ECG Devices for Small and Large Animals
Veterinary ECG devices are standard equipment in veterinary practice and are used to record electrocardiograms in dogs, cats, and other animals.
During an ECG examination, the heart’s electrical activity is recorded as a curve. The procedure is non-invasive and painless and is performed without anaesthesia. The animal is placed in lateral recumbency and connected via limb electrodes; chest electrodes may also be used if required.
ECG recordings allow reliable detection of cardiac rhythm disorders. They provide key information on heart rate, rhythm, impulse formation, conduction, and repolarisation.
