Instrument Tables for the Arrangement of Surgical Instruments

An instrument table, also known as a surgical instrument table, is used in operating theatres to organise and support surgical instruments during procedures. Most stainless steel instrument tables are equipped with a raised edge, which helps prevent instruments from sliding or rolling off the surface during use.

Stainless steel instrument tables and operating tables are often fitted with electrically conductive castors. These allow for flexible positioning within the operating theatre while protecting both medical staff and instruments from electrostatic discharges. To prevent the table from moving unintentionally during surgery, it is recommended to choose a model with a caster frame where one or more castors can be locked.

 

The material of the instrument table, particularly the tabletop, is usually stainless steel, as it is exceptionally easy to clean and disinfect. The size and storage surface of the table vary by model, allowing you to select the table according to your specific requirements. In addition, most instrument tables are height-adjustable, enabling the surgical team to set the table to the optimal working height.
