Surgical Lamps for Surgical Operations
Surgical lamps are characterised by their high performance and large area of illumination. They are mostly used in operating theatres, but can also find application for smaller surgical procedures, such as in ambulatory or dermatological areas.
Proper Lighting for the Operating Theatre
Increased Patient Safety via LED Surgical Lamps
Due to the high light output, many lighting elements develop relatively high warmth output. This can represent a safety risk, as the tissue can dry out and the air flow in the protected area can be disturbed, which is planned to provide germ-free air surrounding the operating table and instrument table.
This risk is minimised with the application of LED technology. Lighting with LED produces nearly no own warmth and does not emit warming infrared or UV rays. Furthermore, LEDs are exceptionally economical, as the exhibit a longer lifespan than other light sources, such as halogen lamps, making them very energy efficient.
