Eye Lens Radiation Protection
In addition to X-ray aprons, gonad and thyroid shields, and radiation protection gloves, X-ray protective glasses and visors are an important part of personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical personnel. Currently, the limit for radiation exposure to the eye lens is 20 mSv. To help maintain this limit, we offer a wide range of protective glasses in this category that comply with the European standard EN 166.
In addition to reliable X-ray protection, wearing comfort is also very important. That’s why you will find here not only glasses made from different materials and in various sizes but also practical X-ray protective visors.
MAVIG Radiation Protection Glasses
With side protection, made from metal or plastic, and available in different sizes and colours, we offer a wide range of X-ray protective glasses from the German quality manufacturer MAVIG. For example, the BR126 protective glasses are made from high-quality, phthalate-free plastic and reliably protect the eyes with anti-reflective mineral radiation protection lenses and side shields during radiological procedures. The modern glasses are available in two sizes, lead equivalencies, and colours and comply with DIN EN 61331-1 and DIN EN 61331-3 standards.
If you prefer a more classic design, the BR322 X-ray protective glasses are the right choice: featuring a frame made from galvanized metal in gold with comfortably adjustable silicone nose pads, they offer a front shield of Pb 0.75 mm and side shields of Pb 0.50 mm. Like all models, these protective glasses are easy to clean and disinfect.
The BR331 X-ray protective glasses stand out due to an exceptionally wide field of view. The transparent design and flat, shatterproof front lenses allow unrestricted work while ensuring maximum safety. In addition, these glasses can be used universally by staff and patients alike, as the adjustable temples allow individual fitting.
All protective glasses are, of course, supplied with a practical case and glasses strap.
Visors for Full-Face X-ray Protection
A popular alternative to conventional protective glasses is the visor. X-ray protection visors have the advantage that prescription glasses can be worn underneath and they provide protection for the entire face. The curved lead-acrylic lens does not restrict the field of vision, and the padding is not only comfortable but also hygienically washable and replaceable. Choose from two different variants: either full-face coverage down to the chin or coverage up to the cheekbones.
Additional hygiene products, such as cleaning, disinfection, and care items, as well as further protective clothing, can be found in the convenient overview in the Hygiene category.
