Microscope Slides and Haemocytometers for the Clinical Laboratory

Microscope slides are used to view and examine specimines under a micrscope. For example, they are especially useful in gynaecological practices for cytological smears. With the help of an haemocytometer and a microscope, the cellular or particle count can quite easily be examined in suspensions. The Fuchs-Rosenthal haemocytometer is quite popular and is used for determining the cellular count in urine.

 

Haemocytometers

With the help of a haemocytometer and a microscope, the cell or particle concentration in suspensions can be analysed quickly and reliably. Well-known examples include the group square arrangements according to Fuchs-Rosenthal and Neubauer / Neubauer Improved. Each version features a different layout of the group squares and is therefore suitable for specific counting applications, for example for cells in urine or blood.
