Test Tubes in the Laboratory
Test tubes are a common piece of glassware in medical as well as industrial laboratories. They have a cylindrical shape, are usually made of glass and are available in different glass wall thickness: thin walls, medium walls or thick walls. Due to their resistance to chemicals and pharmaceuticals, the tubes are ideal for safely mixing and storing liquids in laboratories. Since most tubes are heat-resistant, they can be easily heated.
The tubes in our shop are made of glass and are available in different volumes and diameters, depending on requirements, and are usually offered in packs of 100 or more.
Beaded Rim for a Secure Hold
The type of rim also varies depending on the test tube. Test tubes are available with either a straight rim or a rolled rim.
For a secure fit in a test tube stand and safe heating over a flame, we recommend the Teqler test tubes with rolled rim and round bottom. The rolled rim prevents the tube from slipping in the stand, ensuring safe handling of chemicals.
Thanks to the durable borosilicate glass, these tubes have high heat resistance and are ideal for standard laboratory analyses as well as mixing chemical solutions. The transparent rolled-rim glass tubes are available in packs of 100 and in various sizes.
