Ear Syringes & Irrigators for Professional Ear Cleaning
There are various symptoms and problems that suggest the presence of an earwax blockage. These symptoms include:
- Increasing or acute hearing loss
- Feeling of pressure in the ear
- Ringing in the ear
- Dizziness
- Earache
There are several ways to remove the earwax build-up from the external auditory canal and thus restore hearing. In ENT practices, a special suction cup or a narrow hook is often used for ear wax removal. In general medicine, ear irrigation is usually performed with an ear syringe.
A distinction is made between different models of ear syringes:
- Classic ear syringes
- Self-filling ear syringes
- Ear irrigators
The Self-Filling Ear Syringe
The self-filling ear syringe is designed to absorb water from a container via a tube and release it into the ear during ear irrigation. As a result, the ear irrigation does not have to be interrupted and irrigation is not as time-consuming as with a classic ear syringe. Often, self-filling ear syringes can even be autoclaved, thus ensuring a high level of hygiene during ear irrigation.
