Needle Holders for Surgical Suture

Needle holders, also known as needle drivers, are instruments that are mostly used to suture wounds during surgical procedures. Special jaws keep the needle from slipping, while a locking mechanism prevents the surgical instrument from opening during the process. Especially popular is the Teqler Mayo-Hegar Single-Use Needle Holder. This surgical needle holder features a straight design with a rounded handle and is made of matt metal. It is ideal for suturing in deep and narrow surgical wounds. As a single-use instrument, it reliably prevents cross-contamination and helps reduce reprocessing costs.

Mathieu and Castroviejo Needle Holders

The Mathieu needle holder is particularly suitable for surgical suturing procedures where the surgeon needs to reposition their grip frequently. It features a ratchet mechanism and straight, serrated jaws, ensuring secure needle control during suturing.

For microsurgery, such as ophthalmic procedures, we recommend the fine Castroviejo micro needle holder. This model is available in both straight and curved versions and offers excellent handling thanks to its finely serrated grip surfaces.
