Committed to Responsibility
Environmental Responsibility
The construction of energy efficient logistics buildings and the use of energy saving storage and heating technology produces two winners: not only does the environment win, but so do we as our operating costs are lower. When it comes to building expansion and resource acquisition, we constantly assess energy requirements and application time, as well as sustainability. For example, the Praxisdienst renovations are conceived with plans for photovoltaic panels. Mid-term goal: We want to meet all of our electricity needs with regenerative energy technology.
Eventually, the use of modern and clean technology will translate to even cheaper prices for our customers.
Our fleet consists exclusively of diesel vehicles with max 150 HP and the lowest possible consumption. The acquisition of new vehicles will be influenced by economical and ecological considerations.
We employ the postal services of environmentally conscious organisations. With the delivery of our catalogue, we participate in the CO2 neutral, GoGreen programme from the Deutsche Post/DHL (www.dhl.com). The countless product parcels find their way to the customers through the CO2 neutral, parcel and express service provider DPD (www.dpd.com).
Social Responsibility
As a successful and growing organisation, we are aware of our social and societal responsibilities. This begins with our employees, who are compensated on a fair basis. When it comes to labour, we refrain from working with temp agencies and do not employ anyone on a minimum wage basis. All employees receive a well above minimum wage salary.
It is simply the nature of our core business: through our international orientation, our staff is a reflection of European diversity, both culturally and linguistically.
We also focus on gender parity. Currently, our staff consists of over 50% women, whereas our employee ages range from early 20's to 60, combining years of experience with an energetic dynamic.
Societal Responsibility
We hold ourselves to a high social standard, as well as our suppliers. In this regard, we do not solely rely on the lip service or certificates of diverse organisations. Not only do we visit our suppliers at their company headquarters, but we also gauge a realistic view of the activities by visiting the on-site production facilities.
In personal conversations with all responsible parties, be it owners or leadership, we strive to display our desire to retain high social standards. Because of our regular visits to production facilities, we can ensure that none of the Praxisdienst employed manufacturers sanction the use of child labour.
