Cosmopor Antibacterial

Cosmopor Antibacterial is a self-adhesive wound dressing containing silver with antibacterial properties. The wound dressing is made up of soft non-woven backing fabric, a central wound pad with Dry Barrier® technology and a silver-coated polyethylene foil inside the wound pad. The wound contact layer prevents sticking to the wound, making changing the dressing comfortable for the patient, with less pain. Cosmopor Antibacterial is highly absorbent and reduces rewetting to a minimum. The silver in the wound pad releases silver ions when activated by the moist environment, effectively combating gram positive and gram negative bacteria. This ensures optimum infection prevention.
