InSight V-IA Test Cassettes
The InSight V-IA test cartridges are used in the veterinary laboratory in combination with the Insight V-IA VET immunoassay analyser. For this purpose, a certain amount of the sample material is pipetted into the buffer tube, mixed and placed into the sample well of the test cassette. The cassette is then inserted into the device and analysed. There are eleven different parameters to choose from, which can be stored at room temperature.

Available Variations
Progesterone
This hormone is used to control luteal function and is used in veterinary medicine, e.g. in dogs, to determine the time of ovulation and the optimal breeding date. The sample material required for this test is serum or plasma.
T4 (Thyroxine)
Thyroid hormone can be determined from the serum or plasma of dogs or cats with the corresponding test cassette to test for hypothyroidism.
TSH (Thyrotropin)
TSH is a hormone produced in the pituitary gland. In dogs and cats it can be measured to monitor the effectiveness of thyroid hormone treatment. Serum or plasma is used for this analysis.
Cortisol
The so-called stress hormone from the adrenal cortex can be analysed to monitor patients with Cushing's syndrome. The sample material is serum or plasma from dogs or cats.
cCRP (Canine C-reactive protein)
As a marker of inflammation, the cCRP value in dogs can be used to diagnose non-obvious inflammations. The test cassette is filled with serum or plasma.
fSAA (feline serum amyloid A)
For the diagnosis of non-obvious inflammations in cats, the fSAA value can be measured as an inflammatory marker. Serum or plasma is suitable as sample material for this test.
cPL (canine Pancreatic Lipase) and fPL (feline Pancreatic Lipase)
In the serum or plasma of dogs or cats, the cPL or fPL value can be determined as evidence of specific pancreatic lipase in the case of suspected pancreatitis.
NT-proBNP (N-terminal pro B-type natriuretic peptide)
For early diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs or cats, the NT-proBNP level is determined in serum or plasma. The test is particularly suitable for older patients or predisposed breeds.
D-dimer
D-dimers are formed during the lysis of cross-linked fibrin and are detectable, for example, in internal bleeding, after surgical interventions and in neoplasia. Lithium heparin plasma from dogs or cats is used fas sample material for this test.
HbA1c (haemoglobin A1c)
HbA1c is haemoglobin to which glucose has attached. The measured value allows conclusions to be drawn about the blood sugar control of the last two to three months and is therefore an important parameter in diabetes. HbA1c is determined from the whole blood of dogs.
